Tomorrow we finally leave to our first village, Puno. We get on our bus at 4 pm for a 24-hour ride. I have plenty to read and skits to memorize, so hopefully my bum can last that long sitting! The past 3 days we have all been preparing and memorizing our Spanish songs, dramas, and puppet skits.
Puno is high in the mountains, and it will probably be pretty cold. We´ll be there for 3 days, then we´ll keep moving to other villages and bringing the gozo de Christo with us. :) I´m so excited to meet the villagers and share with them at least a taste of the hope that I have in God´s promises.
Luggage theft is very common on the buses we´ll be riding on, so please pray that no one´s things get stolen. Thank you guys! I love you, talk to you soon!
In His love,
Jess

Jessica! We're praying for you and love you!
I know you're probably having a great time too and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Actually this Word will pop up for you again - keep your eyes open! I KNOW I LOVE YOU. Be cool chica - big ole hug and kiss, angels on your pillies - mommy

Jess,
How cool to keep up with you this way! I'll be watching for your notes so I can pray intelligently for you. Have fun serving Him dear one. Love, Jackie Fry :-)
This is Kelly (Mom). I got a text from Anthony Wednesday and he said, "Jessica says hello, she is not homesick, and she is doing good. She said it's cold but that the team is doing really well." Her dad, Chris, googled the town they are in and he said it is 13,000 feet! That some places you stay have oxygen pumped in your room even. I'm glad I made her take long underwear, I hope is warm enough. But I know Jessica, she is content whether cold or warm, in nothing or everything!
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Isaiah 52:7
Jessica,
I am so proud of you and can't wait to hear about your experiences. Be safe and enjoy your time there. God is smiling down on you, I am sure. Love you and praying for you!!!

Jessie,
I love you. I miss you. I love the photo, except I can't tell which one is you... Are you taking care of your self. Do you need prayer in the area that I am an expert in? If you know what I mean...
Love, love love you
Jackie K.
Hi Jessica,
Thinking about you today...especially since I read about a few of the delicacies (cough cough) that you are eating.
As I said before, God is using your shining sweetness and strong love to touch so many. Lots of prayers for you...
Patrice
Jessica:
Ok - you have eaten a frog in a blender, a guinnea pig and chicken hearts. Sista - are they making you do that or are you just adventurous? Your scaring me, GF and I thought this was a missions trip - not Fear Factor. I am keeping you in my prayers. Love you lots and am so proud of you - Brave Heart!
Jessica: The last comment ending Brave Heart! was from me - Juli McFadden - Love ya!
Hi Jessica! It is so great to be able to keep up with you through this blog!
You are amazing and we know God is going to change your life (and other people's) through this trip.
We just wanted you to know that we love you and miss you! Can't wait to hear all your stories!
Praying for your trip to the mountains and your luggage!
Love,
Laura, Jesse, Macy, and Baby Nick
Hi Jess, I read today that with the privilege of belonging to God comes the responsibility of identifying ourselves as his faithful servants. You are doing just that. In 2 Cor. Paul says that God has anointed you, set his seal of ownership on you and put his Spirit in your heart as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Jessica, you are His faithful servant. You are seeking the lost and encouraging the believers. I am praying for you. I love you, Jackie K.
BUGS I MISS YOU SOOO MUCH!!!
Our Dear Jess,
I'm so glad you are enjoying your trip. Can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about your work in Christ. You are my inspiration, everyday!
Love you lots! Theresa
Yessica,
This is the llama you saw yesterday, would like to make a sweater out of me? I think I can arrange that - but I would like my friend Frederick Frog back, can you arrange that. Lester Llama

Hi Jessica,
I jsut heard from the Kris and the team that went to Africa. Kris said they are eating Hippo and Antalope. He said it tastes great.
They are doing well. I told him how well you are doing. They are praying for you in Africa.

Geck! I posted a comment under Tommy's picture blog. It is so great to see your face. These pics are awesome, beautiful and
f-u-n-n-y. You are really wrapped up in the pic of all the children where it looks like you all are singing. Are you cold? According to one of my sources, there is a weather warning in Peru due to a cold front - hail etc. Have you experienced that? Dude, it was 117 on our thermom yesterday and it is supposed to be 115 today, so ours will probably say 118 - it is crazy. I am continually praying for you and your peps. It is apparent God is so there with you guys. Africa boys are also doing very well - keep praying for them. I love you honey. If you call me Sunday 6/21, call my cell or call after 4:30 (home) if you have a phone available. Nanny, Pappy, Larry and Ry say HI and THEY LOVE YOU!!! Bristol, Joey, and Jacques too :) Kisses and Angels XOXOXOXO!
Yo Mama

Geck, howdy doody! As I read today, I couldn't help but think about you and the African boys. I pasted below. You will especially appreciate/understand because of the awesome mountains (Andes) you are privledged to witness. I love you and m-i-s-s y-o-u. Be careful, many labored prayers your way - stay in the light. I love you. Mamma
Get thee up into the high mountain."
Isaiah 40:9
Our knowledge of Christ is somewhat like climbing one of our Welsh mountains. When you are at the base you see but little: the mountain itself appears to be but one-half as high as it really is. Confined in a little valley, you discover scarcely anything but the rippling brooks as they descend into the stream at the foot of the mountain. Climb the first rising knoll, and the valley lengthens and widens beneath your feet. Go higher, and you see the country for four or five miles round, and you are delighted with the widening prospect. Mount still, and the scene enlarges; till at last, when you are on the summit, and look east, west, north, and south, you see almost all England lying before you. Yonder is a forest in some distant county, perhaps two hundred miles away, and here the sea, and there a shining river and the smoking chimneys of a manufacturing town, or the masts of the ships in a busy port. All these things please and delight you, and you say, "I could not have imagined that so much could be seen at this elevation." Now, the Christian life is of the same order. When we first believe in Christ we see but little of him. The higher we climb the more we discover of his beauties. But who has ever gained the summit? Who has known all the heights and depths of the love of Christ which passes knowledge? Paul, when grown old, sitting grey-haired, shivering in a dungeon in Rome, could say with greater emphasis than we can, "I know whom I have believed," for each experience had been like the climbing of a hill, each trial had been like ascending another summit, and his death seemed like gaining the top of the mountain, from which he could see the whole of the faithfulness and the love of him to whom he had committed his soul. Get thee up, dear friend, into the high mountain.
Jessica - I just go the email from your mamacita today with your blog on it. I am so proud of you and the work that you are doing. You are an inspiration to many people and I am sure that those who are just getting the privilege to meet you in Peru will be feeling the same way!!
Keep up the good work and know that we are thinking about and praying for you everyday.
With Love -
Aunt Deb and Uncle David
Beth - I can't believe I had to go all the way to Atlanta to Lauren & Rick's place and get a crash course on how to use this blog!!! I sent you a few messages before my computer crashed but I think they went to cyberspace. I'm so dumb about computer stuff.... Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I love you and pray for you & your team. What an awesome God we serve, and I am reminded of His infinite wisdom as I watch how He works in our lives when we are obedient. Keep following HIS lead, doing HIS work, and leading those unsaved souls to Christ. I pray God's blessings on your life. Keep smiling that beautiful smile! Luv Ya! Ms. Julie
Beth To Beth!!!
Cant begin to tell you how many times a day I pray for you since God automatically has your name in the forefront of my mind at all times. I mean I do hear the name Beth at least 50 times a day!!! HAHA, na it is a good way to lift you up when we share a name!!! Prayer I am good at but posting blogs I am NOT. It took for me as well to come to Atlanta and visit Lauren and Rick to see how to do all of this. I am sooo proud of what God is doing in and thru your life. GO GOD!!! Cant wait to hear all the GOD STORIES and to see all the many pictures. I also can't wait to see you personally just to share back and forth all of what God is up to in both of our lives!!! Just know that you are missed and know that I pray God is over and above blessing you for all you for all that you have sacrificially given. You are truly an amazing young lady and I am praying for your prince. Take care and keep in touch. Luv you girl Ms Beth

Hi Mi Yessica! Happy 4th of July! We just got back from the Rim - it was fun and nice. Awesome testimony (lasted blog posted). I got your email I will write you tomorrow. The boys returned from Africa safe and sound - I can't wait to see them. I am so on the countdown for you. God is so GOOD! You are living proof. All the people of Peru are too - won't it be wonderful when you see them in Heaven??!! I am watching Extreme Makeover (switching subjects ha!) Crying of course. I got your vm when we got home - you know how much I weep when I miss your calls, but I know you will try again. I love you so much and I am really really missing you, but none of that matters as you know what matters. I hate to say see ya later here or in an email or phone call, but I will. Angels on your pillies, be safe, let your light shine brighter brighter and brighter. I LOVE YOU, Mommy.
